Unlimited Yakiniku & Seafood | Yoshimeatsu, Bocaue

November 20, 20242 min read

Yakiniku.. I feel like I may have already known before that it's "grilled meat" in Japanese but I think I actually just learned that now. Don't give me that look- It's not like that's something everyone should know before they reach 35.

After my wife's visit to the dentist, we had our late lunch at a nearby yakiniku restaurant called Yoshimeatsu. It's similar to Korean grill, but they offer quite a lot more in their menu which, to me, has more of a pinoy-style taste.

The restaurant uses QR codes for ordering. It will open up their menu where you can select food or services, so no need to raise your hand to call the waiter's attention when you need something. Kinda introvert-friendly, I would say.

What if the customer doesn't have a smartphone, though? Well, I don't know. I didn't ask. Maybe it's a temporary thing. But who in this day and age has the luxury to eat at a somewhat expensive grill restaurant but still can't afford a smartphone, anyway?

california maki

Instead of rice, we had California Maki as a side dish. There's also Spicy Tuna Maki and Ebi Maki, and more. You wanna take it easy on the side dishes, though. There's a lot of meat choices to try, plus the seafood. However, I didn't quite like the tuna on a stick(forgot what they call it). There's an additional fee for unlimited seafood, by the way, but not that much so it wouldn't hurt to upgrade if you're into grilled seafood.

Unlike my wife who said she still prefers samgyeopsal, I think I like the taste of Yoshimeatsu more. There's even pork ribs with different flavors to choose from. It kinda gives me the outdoor grill vibe, especially when there's a lot of smoke coming out because our vent is placed in a bad angle that it couldn't properly suck it in. Sorry, lady from the next table.

japanese grill

For about P600 per head, I'd say that's quite a fair price considering the variety of food they offer. Will definitely add this to my list of places to have my cheat meals.

Not much to say about me. Let's see what I have to say about life.
