Amethyst Kitchen: Burgers, Chicken Wings, & Everthing ’90s

August 22, 20193 min read

The ’90s was such a thrilling decade. The best decade, actually, as claimed by, well, the ’90s kids. But this decade was indeed a huge turning point in time. New music genres, girl groups, boy bands, chick flicks, anime, and a lot of other whatever pop cultures were introduced during this era.

That’s why you just can’t blame us, the ’90s kids, if we can’t help but keep remembering the best years of our lives. Especially when there are places like the Amethyst Kitchen, where you are served good meals while getting hit with the ’90s nostalgia.

burger and nachos

If you’re tired of the same old tiny and boring burgers from fast food restaurants, Amethyst Kitchen is a must-try. You’d wanna make sure to come in totally hungry, though, because they don’t just serve plain meals, but bigger burgers and large portions of dishes, all jampacked with toppings and ingredients.

’90s Inspired Decor

As you enter, you’ll be greeted by posters of anime and comic characters, and TV shows that the ’90s kids grew up with. If you grew up in the same era, there’s no way you won’t recognize at least one of these images. If that’s not enough, they’ve also got a playlist of old anime OSTs and other ’90s tracks.

Can you name all of them?

Play games while you eat

Got time to spare? You can have fun playing games while eating with your friends or family. The available games are Chess, Checkers, Scrabble, Monopoly, and Jenga.

Single, Double, & Triple Burgers

Their dishes are named after anime and comic characters, you’ll feel like you’re about to get challenged. And so you will be.

Just the solo burger “Jigglypuff”, named after the cute Pokemon character, is enough to give you a full belly for only 85 pesos. If not, you can go with a combo meal with fries, nachos, and other sides. Seriously, it has all my favorite ingredients in it.

Majinbuu

This one’s a toughie, just like the anime character it was named after from Dragon Ball Z. The menu says two beef patty so I thought it was just double patty burger. Turns out, it was actually two burgers on a stick! Good thing I was hungry, both burgers were totally packed with ingredients for only 110 pesos.

Taguro

One of the iconic anime villains, Taguro, is well-known for his tall and large physique, especially when he transforms into his 100% power. It makes the perfect name for this triple burger, each overflowing with ingredients. To beat this, you’d also need to be 100% hungry.

Well, if Eugene was able to get over Taguro’s 100% power, you can be over 100% hungry, too. In that case, how about some cheesy nachos, overloaded with toppings for sides?

Chicken Wings

You think it’s all just burgers, fries, and nachos? Nope. They welcome chicken wings lovers, too. All flavors sell for P110 each.
